HEY THERE CHICAS,
so first things first, loving Ben Howard's new song, "Keep your head up", i've never heard of him before but will definitely check out his stuff. If you haven't heard this song click here for a listen! (p.s the video for this song is AMAZING)
i still haven't managed to sort my camera issues out yet so food snaps and OOTD etc will have to wait for the moment!
Now i don't know how many of you use this website but i only became apparent of it a few months ago when my friends american friend came over! apparently this website is used a lot over there so i thought i'd give it a go.
StumbleUpon is what i would call a website generator. You register with the website for free and then the website gives you a list of interests. There are loads to choose from, ranging from alcoholic drinks to forensic science, from dating tips to quizzes! The websites i like the most are the ones from selecting weddings, crafts, cooking and interior design. Its great for music lovers as you can select any music from 'indie' to 'drum'n'bass'.
So once you've entered your interests you can begin 'stumbling'.A tool bar at the top helps you navigate through the website. The stumble button moves you from page to page and the 'like this' button saves the pages to your favourites to look back at when you like.
Stumbling is great as it links you to websites that you might not necessarily find normally but may find interesting, some of my favourites include:
the girls from heynicenails.com are just brilliant at doing their nails and give you some great nail art ideas!
Definitely will be trying out the banana design! Another thing i stumble upon a lot is recipes, and my favourite of all time is this one from Picky Palate, the recipe is for cookies, but no ordinary cookies, cookies stuffed with OREOS! literally my two favourite biscuits combined! Will definitely try out this recipe soon! check it out here!
YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM!
and the final thing i want to show you is this website who came up with some great jelly shots that you can create. They do not only look good but you bet they taste good too! Great for a dinner party or any sort of party really and great thing to make for children (minus the alcohol, obvs) i really fancy this one (first pictured below).
The next one is called "Polyjuice Potion" -great for all the Potter fans out there! (so pretty much everyone then!!)
So i really can't recommend using StumbleUpon enough to find some interesting websites, i hope my explanation of how to use it/the purpose of using it was clear. It's my first time at doing something like this so sorry if i confused everyone! the best thing to do is just to hop over to StumbleUpon.com and have a little look around, it's so easy to use i'm sure it'll me more helpful then i was! Hope you liked this feature i might make into a regular feature called, "What i STUMBLED on this week", what does everyone think?
