MISSING IN ACTION

Been so busy recently that haven't been able to keep up with posting as much as i would like. All i am wearing at the moment is work uniform and pajamas, will be ordering a few bits and pieces from Asos and h&m over the next few days so will be showing you them soon! loving the Asos up to 50% off sale they've got going on here.
In other news, whilst watching Made in Chelsea the other night decided to make myself some pudding and used this microwaveable cake recipe, however whilst watching the chloe/ollie/gabriella love triangle thang i accidentally forgot about the cake and it turned out disgusting. it was so over cooked to the point where it had a rubber-like texture (didn't think that was possible) But i will not let this be a blow to my baking credentials and will make another one soon and will post pictures!
hope everyone is having a great week

STYLE CRUSH

So i'm sure like me everyone is already obsessed with this years xfactor. I just think the whole show is very entertaining, i would love to go watch the live shows later this year. Along with the xfactor obsession i also have an xtra factor obsession no only for the absolutely gorgeous Ollie Murs (my future husband lolz) but also for Caroline Flack. Caroline has been around for a while now presenting bits and bobs but i never really noticed her. She's been in the press a few times over the years as well after being romantically linked to Prince Harry (JEALOUS!)but both parties said they were just good friends. After watching her on xtra factor though she is my new style and hair crush.
Her style seems to be pretty simple and classic which suits her well. I'm going to get my hair cut soon (first visit to the hairdressers in 3 years) and i may take a photo of Caroline with me as a kind of inspiration but i'm not sure the shorter length and middle parting will suit me! we will have to wait and see!! Off to watch the repeat of xfactor now. Adios!

"Cos when I look in a mirror…I don’t even recognize myself"

Sorry for the lack of proper posting recently, still been super busy but i'm sure that will all die down soon! Weather has been lovely down south this past couple of days which meant i could attempt to wear bare legs even though its almost the end of September!
Top: Charity shop, Shorts: Old Matalan shorts cut & bleached, Bag: Primark, Necklace: House of Harlow
This t-shirt is so cool, i love it. It cost me a barginous £1 from again my favourite chazza shop. They have a £1 rail in there and its the first place i visit when i go in there. I wish i could wear it as a dress but its just that little bit too short so threw these shorts underneath to hide my dignity. Most of my friends have gone off to uni now, only 3 left! One of my friends dropped out though so i won't be completely lonely!
I'm going to attempt some nail art this week so will post the results and a tutorial if it goes well. Today i'm just planning on lazing around the house watching cookery programmes even though the sun is shining!
Have a lovely weekend.

"Count on me through life's changes"

I am terrible with keeping up to date with OOTD! this is what i wore on Thursday to a picnic with friends, we ate so much food, these shorts weren't the best of ideas due to how little room i have when a food baby forms! Talking of these shorts, i bought them in my favourite charity shop in my town for £2.50. They were originally a pair or ankle swinging flared black jeans, but after a quick chop and a roll up they were the perfect pair of shorts and something i had been looking for for a while!
Top: H&M, Shorts: Charity shop (DIY), Scarf: Car boot sale, Belt: Charity shop, Shoes: Priceless
Surprised at how much of this outfit is 'vintage', just goes to show how tight i am when it comes to spending money on clothes! i think this whole outfit including shoes comes to under £20, that amount of money would probably only get you a vest top in Topshop nowadays. I did some baking yesterday using a recipe i found on StumbleUpon. The recipe is for cheesecake brownies which i though sounded lovely and unhealthy so just had to make them! the original recipe is here if you want it.

I didn't have a square baking dish so i just used a cake tin instead, they seemed to work just as well although next time ill cook mine for a bit longer then the recipe said as mine were a little too under cooked in the middle. Still yummy though! i'm on a bit of a baking spree at the moment so be prepared for some more food related snaps soon.

"You're insecure, don't know what for"

So this isn't quite and OOTD, more an OOYD, as this is what i wore yesterday. I went to lunch with friends, and then to the pub in the evening. For lunch we went to prezzo as they had a great deal of 2 main meals for £12. I would really reccomend signing up to the prezzo website as they are always send you deals via email. Another great money saving thing is Orange Wednesdays. I am on Orange anyway but if you are not ask around your friends because if they are not planing on using their code then you might as well. A couple of weeks back i went to go see One Day and then had lunch at pizza express all for £9 which is pretty amazing and when the bill arrived we had actually saved far more than we spent! So yeah i would definitely recommend signing up to things that offer discounts, especially to university students!
Top: Primark, Trousers: H&M, Shoes: New Look, Bag: Primark, Watch: Asos

It got pretty chilly in the evening so i ended up pretty cold, but during the day the weather was actually really nice, although where i live it has been VERY up and down at the moment, blue skies followed by torrential down pours! Going for a picnic with friends today and then off to a concerty thing at school, even though i've left now i'm still going back to watch a school event! i don't want to leaveeee!
I'm sure outfits of yesterday are going to be more common then outfits of the day due to pure laziness on my behalf! have a lovely day and i hope the weather is nice where you are!

"Don't you know i'm not your ghost, anymore"

So i finally have the camera issue vaguely sorted! I've found the old family camera from bout 7 years ago, but hopefully it'll be okay for the moment until i treat myself to a better one. I went shopping Wednesday last week with a friend and her sister, we went to Lakeside and Bluewater (yes both in one day = tiring). I bought a few bits, stuff you'll hopefully in a few OOTD soon. My favourite purchase of all though has to be these earrings from Primark!

These earrings only cost £2 and this design also comes in cuff and ring form and then come in red like mine or cream aswell. I'm tempted to get all of it if i'm being honest! Sorry i've been away from blogging, been super busy saying good bye to friends who are heading off to Uni. Will get into the swing of things soon.

"Keep your head up, keep your heart strong"

HEY THERE CHICAS,
so first things first, loving Ben Howard's new song, "Keep your head up", i've never heard of him before but will definitely check out his stuff. If you haven't heard this song click here for a listen! (p.s the video for this song is AMAZING)
i still haven't managed to sort my camera issues out yet so food snaps and OOTD etc will have to wait for the moment!
Now i don't know how many of you use this website but i only became apparent of it a few months ago when my friends american friend came over! apparently this website is used a lot over there so i thought i'd give it a go.
StumbleUpon is what i would call a website generator. You register with the website for free and then the website gives you a list of interests. There are loads to choose from, ranging from alcoholic drinks to forensic science, from dating tips to quizzes! The websites i like the most are the ones from selecting weddings, crafts, cooking and interior design. Its great for music lovers as you can select any music from 'indie' to 'drum'n'bass'.
So once you've entered your interests you can begin 'stumbling'.A tool bar at the top helps you navigate through the website. The stumble button moves you from page to page and the 'like this' button saves the pages to your favourites to look back at when you like.
Stumbling is great as it links you to websites that you might not necessarily find normally but may find interesting, some of my favourites include:
the girls from heynicenails.com  are just brilliant at doing their nails and give you some great nail art ideas!
Definitely will be trying out the banana design! Another thing i stumble upon a lot is recipes, and my favourite of all time is this one from Picky Palate, the recipe is for cookies, but no ordinary cookies, cookies stuffed with OREOS! literally my two favourite biscuits combined! Will definitely try out this recipe soon! check it out here!
YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM!
and the final thing i want to show you is this website who came up with some great jelly shots that you can create. They do not only look good but you bet they taste good too! Great for a dinner party or any sort of party really and great thing to make for children (minus the alcohol, obvs) i really fancy this one (first pictured below).
The next one is called "Polyjuice Potion" -great for all the Potter fans out there! (so pretty much everyone then!!)
So i really can't recommend using StumbleUpon enough to find some interesting websites, i hope my explanation of how to use it/the purpose of using it was clear. It's my first time at doing something like this so sorry if i confused everyone! the best thing to do is just to hop over to StumbleUpon.com and have a little look around, it's so easy to use i'm sure it'll me more helpful then i was! Hope you liked this feature i might make into a regular feature called, "What i STUMBLED on this week", what does everyone think?

"Well let me introduce you to my style I try to keep a jumble and the lyrics never mumble"

So this is the second time i've started to write a blog, but this time i'm going to try and do this properly!
As you can tell from the title of this post (thank you Mr. Mraz) this is a little introduction to me.
So HI! my names Char (charlotte) and i'm 18 years old and have just finished my last year at school. Not sure what this blog will consist of but i guess we'll work that one out together! To show you my sort of style i used polyvore to create the wish list in the post below! this will be a common Friday feature. This isn't exactly how i dress, but this is what sort of things i'd like to wear (if i had the money).
until next time.
